The story of “Cộng” began in 2007. The first shop of the franchise was a small café, situated on Trieu Viet Vuong st. - the historic café street of Hanoi. Cộng’s founder, Linh Dung, she was born in 1975 in the town of Son Tay on the outskirts of Hanoi, surrounded by military barracks. In 2007, at the time when most Hanoian cafés did not pay attention to their design, she believed that Cộng needed a story of its own. She wanted to bring the rustic and romantic spirit from her childhood memories into Cộng, with a vision unbounded by habits, customs and standards. She wanted to put all that in a new order with a not-so-easily-perceived humo, in order to create a different story. A foreign journalist once said that Cộng was the trendsetter for the “Vietnam Vintage Style” in café designs. To this day, Cộng has opened nearly 62 stores all over Vietnam, welcoming over 30,000 customers every day. 2018 expanded to Korea, and 2019 1st outlet in Nu Sentral KL.
