Little Eden Succulents was established in 2016, when the founder of LES, Yee Zhing was diagnosed with an chronic autoimmune illness called SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus). SLE brings widespread inflammation to the body tissue and could cause damages to any organ in the body. She dealed with skin inflammations, ear and eye infections, medication induced alopecia, kidney damage and she went thru different kind of treatments including chemotherapy to treat the complications caused by SLE. The causes of SLE could be environmental effect, genetics or could be due to long period of overstressed. Deep in her heart she knows it was stress that put her immune system uncontrolled and caused all the medical complications. She then looked for ways to distract and distress. Found out succulents can thrive with only one leaf, the vitality of succulents inspired her so much that she started planting succulents. Succulents are pretty and available in different colors, having the outlook of flowers yet it can continue to grow and thrive after years. She realised the therapeutic effects of succulents and how much it could help to deal with stress, hence she started conduct workshops to raise awareness about selflove and selfcare, at the same time share the therapeutic effect of succulents to more people. Eventhough SLE is a chronic illness that cannot be cured, Yee Zhing still hopes to share the healing effect of succulents to heal souls while she is still able to do so, while dealing with the long battle.
