Do you always find yourself listening to others’ stories through songs? This time, we want you to be the main character.

In collaboration with Malaysia’s music label Pocket Music, eslite spectrum presents a year-end special project – “Pocket Exchange”. Share the secrets hidden in your “pocket” and exchange them for a song that’s truly yours.

Everyone is welcome to share their unique stories. We’re searching for the most heartfelt “Pocket Story of the Year.” The chosen story will be turned into a personalized song by renowned local composer Percy Phang and Pocket Music artists.

Theatre Screenings: The Monkey King Adventures: Love of Onibaba
Japanese Team ITO collaborates with Penang’s Ombak Potehi to present a localized sequel to Journey to the West. On their return from India, Tang Sam Tsong and his companions are tricked by Onibaba, a Japanese folklore monster, to land in Penang. Disguised as a lady, she kidnaps Tang, leading to spectacular battles between yokai and his friends. Will Tang escape? Experience thrilling fights with string puppets and flying glove puppets in this captivating show!

Renowned filmmaker and Buddhist scholar Khyentse Norbu, known for his acclaimed film The Cup, returns with his latest work, “Pig at the Crossing”. After its exclusive debut at Eslite Cinema Taiwan in October, the film will be screened this Christmas at Eslite Kuala Lumpur!

Through dark humor, Khyentse Norbu explores the wisdom of life and death, prompting reflection on impermanence and reminding us to pause amidst the busyness of life to cherish each moment.

This dance drama tells the story of the Hakka Dapu people, showcasing their spirit and culture to the world.

After migrating to Southeast Asia and settling in Malaya, they supported society with services like blacksmithing and herbal medicine, while building warm community homes.

The production features the "indigo dyeing craft," a unique Hakka tradition passed down through generations. This vibrant blue art enriches global fashion and design, symbolizing the Hakka values of resilience and thrift, inspiring future generations.

Yaya feels defeated, convinced that she can do nothing right. But one day, Yaya meets an awkward yet endearing ugly duck, and their companionship becomes a source of healing for her wounded heart as they embark on a whimsical journey together. Inspired by the much-loved fairytale, ‘The Ugly Duckling’, My Ugly Duckling is a compelling exploration of love, acceptance, and forgiveness, transforming struggles and challenges into hope.
